I have a set of hollys 6 BBL sitting on 440, They have all recently been done, plated rebuilt etc, etc, I hooked a vacum gauge to the center carb port the one going to the distributor, ( the higher port of the 2 ) I am showing 5 in of vacum @ 825 rpm. Is this normal I have been told there should be none or almost nothing, If wrong what is problem ?

Thanks guys

Vacuum at the timed port at idle is usually caused by the throttle butterflies being too far open at idle, try closing the butterflies and using the mixture screws to set the idle.

Is the cam stock?
