My 67 gtx has factory disc brakes. I want to know if differant calipers and rotors can be use with the stock spindles. I don't like the stock 2 piece rotors 'cause there are no long wheel studs available. And the the 4 puc calipers are leaky. And they have already been resleeved in stainless. Will any of the newer stuff fit the stock spindles?

Aftermarket like wilwood or areospace might have something , otherwise to go with later factory single piston stuff you need to replace the spindle .

You can use the spindles off an 88 Diplomat or New Yorker(rwd). I got a setup complete with proportioning valve for a friend's '66 Coronet for a $100.

I'd like to hear more on this topic. I have Belvedere 1 w/factory discs that have warped rotors and really need to figure out a direction. Either fork over the big $$$ for factory replacement rotors that are hard to find or convert everything over to something else.

All good responses . So, a mid 70's a-body set up or a late 80's diplomat. I guess maybe a aspen/ volary set up may work also? Very interesting . So the b-body ball joint studs aren't too big or thick?

Still not sure what is needed in addition to those "kits" that are out there. My car has factory power Bendix brakes. Is it possible to use the current power brake booster, master cylinder, and proportining valve?

All are in good working order except for the rotors that are @ the runout limit of .005 according to the shop manual.

I'm currently working on a 1969 Charger original Bendix disc brake car.
It's being upgraded to aspen/volare single piston calipers and rotors.
And I'm re-using the cars original/rebuilt disc brake master cylinder and booster and all the related valves .
