Great job, Very professional, Ryan is 'Da man!" Chompin at the bitt now for Spring to see how the "little" 414 is gonna do. Wonder if they'll let a mopar powered Daihatsu into Mopars at the Rock?? seems like I saw a 340 powered TR7 there one year...but it might have just been a bracket race

Okay, it took 108 views (me) but I'll ask: Flow numbers??
I would think a Mopar race would let anything in if it's pwoered by a Mopar bullet, yes?

Based on everything I've read on here, you certainly took them to the right shop. I just hope that chassis will work with all that new found power!

Stage II level porting only From: RyanJ Flow #'s LIFT--IN/EX .100"--72.6/NA .200"--146.9/110.8 .300"--196.3/150.1 .400"--245.8/180.2 .450"--259.0/193.8 .500"--268.6/203.4 .550"--271.8/212.9 .600"--276.6/218.6 .650"--283.5/221.6 .700"--286.6/223.8 Picked up about 30 CFM from .350 up and 40 from ~.650, not using it all up though. 12:1 414 with a 255/263 @ .050 Solid Flat Tappet .606/.608 lift (1.6's) 109 centers in at 105. Ported 340 Victor, worked 830 Holley annular. Should go low 13's in my little 2700 pound 4.56 gear Rocky....easy ....maybe upside down and backwards Seriously though, I had the car over at Lennys and he commented that the thing has a good bit of Natural hook in it, I'm putting a 10" T/A in front of a standard gear 904 so the stall shouldn't be more than maybe 3800 or so, so it won't be real violent off the line.

Surprising to see them climb in numbers even after 650

Intake #'s are very nice. Exhaust are stellar. I think with that cam , those cubes and that weight , you could forget to shift your way to low 13's. Should be a blast.
Agreed that the exhaust numbers are very impressive.

I did'nt think they were anything special. Actually the .400-.500 exhaust #'s are off a hair, & the .300-.500 intake #'s are a little off as well. The low & high lift #'s look normal for that level of prep.
I don't flow heads very often anymore...especially a head like this that I've done 100 sets of, not alot of point. I worry more about what power they make. I did a 416 last year with heads in exact same state as these, Stage 2, same valve job, same chamber prep, same stock Edelbrock valves..... 12:1, Super victor, 750 Demon, 269 @ .050 roller & 1 5/8" TTI step header, so far 10.40 @ 128 @ 3100 lbs. Going to bigger header this year, should pick up maybe .1 or so & some changes in rear suspension should help 60' as well. It's good bang for the buck $525 port job on set of "factory replacement" designed heads.... & runs low 10's.

Nice, I hope to have enough $$$ left over for a stage two once Ryan gets done fixing all the carnage on mine. Going on another 416 as well.

I run mostly 1/8th mile, if it stays on at least 2 wheels (not saying which 2) it ought to run somewhere in the 6.5-6.7 once it's sorted out. that would be mid-ish 10 in the quarter, not sure how the super sleek aero is gonna feel on the top end though! Everybody comments how squirrelly they assume it's going to be but actually the only time you gotta be extra careful is in the bleach box, once it's pointed it goes very straight. I'm also used to driving a 90" wheelbase Cobra thats 300 pounds lighter and has about the same power/torque as this one will have. The block is really set down pretty low in the chassis and it has a full box frame that is super rigid. My thoughts are now about whether to just keep running the generic 1 5/8" A body headers (which drop right in to the rocky like they were designed for it)....or roll the dice and go to a 1 7/8" which would be about the perfect size for it but may not fit as well

Modesty will get you nowhere. Most of my information is based on the work of others , but I'll offer up these numbers based of stock J heads FLOW #s
LIFT------ASCAST---------PORTED .100----62.1/46.6---------62.1/51.8 .200----112.1/99.4-------135.2/103.5 .300----156.6/128.3-----198.7/135.2 .400----193.2/137.3-----239.8/158.7 .450----200.1/138.3-----253.9/169.7 .500----200.1/139.7-----258.4/182.9 .550----200.1/140.8-----264.9/186.3 .600----200.8/141.5-----254.6/186.3
All #s at 28 of Water 2.02/1.60 MP Stainless valves
They came from some guys web site.
And I assumed Eddies to be light weight ported J heads based on these numbers AS CAST OUT OF BOX
LIFT-----IN/EX .100----72.5/N/A .200--131.1/107.0 .300--182.9/151.8 .400--216.6/181.2 .450--227.7/182.9 .500--235.9/185.6 .550--238.7/185.6 .600--242.2/185.6 .650--243.2/185.6 .700--243.2/185.6
So I see these numbers here LIFT--IN/EX .100"--72.6/NA .200"--146.9/110.8 .300"--196.3/150.1 .400"--245.8/180.2 .450"--259.0/193.8 .500"--268.6/203.4 .550"--271.8/212.9 .600"--276.6/218.6 .650"--283.5/221.6 .700"--286.6/223.8 and I am thinking that as a percentage of gain , and an exhaust to intake ratio , those numbers fairly sparkle. That they don't go flat anywhere is a testament to your skills , which as the kids are prone to saying these days , would be mad. Those are going to be some really good working heads.

How does it handle those BFG Radial TAs in your signature pic? Love that car BTW, enjoyed your build up when you did the motor.
The BFG Radials don't do so well at anything below 30 mph -). But I would have to beef up chassis and drive train if I went with better tires and thats not in the budget right now. Its just a toy anyway not a race car. Not very practical but it sure is fun.
Cam is 586/540 lift, 236/242 @ 50 duration intake/exhaust with 108 LSA custom ground retrofit hydraulic roller by Indio Motor Machines in CA (user ou812 on this forum). Pretty radical idle but throttle response is instant, icredible torque, and pulls hard up top.
Engines been in for two years now and been run very hard. Does not leak or use any oil and still sounds nice and tight. So far so good.

Ryan, do you sell these heads done, or does the customer first buy the heads from a dealer and then send them to you?

Yeah the 4.56 Gearing is something I struggled with, the 295/65 m/t's are around 30", I guess it's gonna depend on the converter slip as to whether I can pull the stripe on the big end of the 1/4 without encountering "free range" connecting rods
it'll no doubt be a blast in the 1/8th....the Rocky is only 12' long and with very little overhang, it'll be tough to do a 'Scotty Richardson' type 'Just enough to beatcha' win against.
That thing's got to be a handful, no?

I hope not, I've got a fairly mild converter (3600 stall Loose 10" T/A ) that should let me walk it out pretty quick without standing it on the bumper If I gave it a 4500 Stall 8 incher I know it would ET quicker, but it'd be a wild willie (guardrail to gaurdrail) type ride. We'll see how it goes, I plan to do a good bit of T&T with it before I put it on one of these narrow little N.C. 1/8th milers.

I bought my heads from him done. He doesn't mark the cost of the heads up so no reason not to go that route if you don't already have the heads.

I'm sure they will let it in. So NOW you're gonna bring something to race? I've never seen that charger of yours out there.

Chip, If I get the Rocky done I plan to get it out to the Rock. Working 60 hrs a week don't leave me much play time but I'm trying, maybe you and Dad might come up and help me change it all out? Friend's around here are pretty worthless for doing real car stuff...they'ed rather golf or watch tv. The Charger hasn't been to the Rock for several years...but it's been there several times. What's cool is at least 2 people I know said they modeled their Charger's paint scheme after seeing mine there. The last few years I've been working week-ends and for at least a few of them I was working 1/2 way around the world on assignment...sorry, I gotta pay the bills (putting one through college as we speak), buddy! Chip I miss being your age and a lot younger...making good money...no kids and making extra $$$ driving a 4 speed anything and getting paid to drive other peoples rides (2 wheels or 4)because they couldn't shift, cut lights or ET as fast as me...but that was years ago.....no regrets....but also no excuses for the stage of life I'm at now...even still I know I can still drive a stick car with the best of 'em out there
