I've been doing a little planning on the Imperial. I can't work on the car yet because I still need to finish the hot rod. The seats need to be rebuilt with new foam and covers. It's got the split bench seat that held you like the recliner in your living room. Can these things be bolstered to look somewhat original and still offer support for mild cornering? I'm not looking for a racing seat but don't want to slide across the car when I take an exit ramp. Here's a pic of the same seats. linky to large-by-huge interior picI need to go through the front and rear seats. It would be possible to make them match each other but I don't want to make them look out of place with a stock interior.

just install 5 point harnesses...that'll keep you in place or put one of those pads designed for putting a jute-backed rug on top of wood floors between you and the seat, and wear leather pants.
