You guys are talking all this 512 stroker kit but Ive never seen no real HP numbers on them.Im definately going to purchace a 512 kit but want to stay with the 906 heads to keep my compression low to make an enjoyable cruiser.Wonder what kind of HP numbers could I expect out of the 906 head route and what set up,cam, intake and carb would be best for it.

I went ahead and got the 10 degree keepers and locks along with the head bolt kit when i ordered. I figured i would gasket match the heads and RPM intake and let them be. Ken at 440 told me i might need to fit the pins, no problem doing that. Randy

I pieced mine together. I used a K1 crank, Compstar rods and Diamond pistons. I think I got everything from Dram here on moparts. I will say what a torque monster. I also did the 4.25 crank so I didn't have to go with external oiling.

I also pieced my kit from DRAM. One nice thing when buying from an engine builder is he was very helpful when I put the engine together. Lots of advice and tips.

1970 Charger RT 4 speed car

512ci RB,Stealth Heads uncut(swapped out the locks & retainers),Harland Sharp 1.5 Rockers,10.5 comp,Eddy RPM intake,Hooker 1 7/8 headers,950 Proform carb,Hughes solid 579/587 256/260. I went mild on the cam...heck who am I kidding... my whole combo is mild.

It made 566HP/640 TQ with the dist locked in at 36 and with a 50/50 mix of 87 & 112.

It has been said that uncut Stealth heads are no better than stock 906 heads...I would have to disagree as the flow numbers in the past have the Stealths outflowing uncut 906's

I would have to agree that getting the ported Stealths will help this engine breathe....I myself will be swapping to some Indy 440-1 heads.

But of course if you port the 906's you can get some really good numbers out of them if done by the right person.
