My last stroker sb had NO custom diamond pistons with no extra work for reliefing the valves on my 2.08 w5s

My W5's are small chamber heads cut .050 for a 47cc chamber. I used a flat top piston .011 out of the hole with a .038 head gasket, worked out to like 12.7 IIRC. I guess that doesn't really help you but you can get away with as little as .027 piston to head clearance. My engine has beed 7500 many times with no problems.

Yeah, I think there was about 7cc of valve relief, it's .020 over with a stock stroke. I think if you crunch the numbers that's what it comes out to.

I'm at work and can't get on hardly any sites or I would have crunched the numbers myself, why this site is allowed I don't know.
I think I used the formula in the NHRA rulebook when I figured it. Gasket bore of 4.08 I think. I'll have to check again to be sure.

Maybe it was 10 cc of valve relief, it's been 10 years since I built it so off the top of my head I don't remember exactly.
