does any know how high a intake and exhaust lift can be with stock valve springs and keepers on a big block.

Only way to know for sure is to check them and make sure to have AT LEAST .060 more travel to coil bind at fully open valve. Same with the guide/seal to retainer clearance.

thats the reason to measure every time in my book..



get the spring for the cam or one thats is real close to the specs listed

Pics of damage done by coil bind using a 485 lift cam in a 360 with stock springs. Also broke the cylinder wall, heads, cam and crank. BTW this engine had yet to see anything over 3500 RPM's
