thought maybe i had an answer. for 1969 if the heater box was in a canadian car the part number was 2837501 in stead of 2837500. went back and checked to see if that was so for the 1970 and it was not. the number ends up being 2936068 (canadian) instead of what i am used to seeing 2936680. well you can see that in the above post. what is the build date of your car? maybe it is late in the model year. with mopar, never say never.

068 Canadian is not a B-Body is it? It is listed under another column on your parts book pic....Looks like C-Body. I'm betting his may be a Canuck car.....Does it have a Y05 0r Y07 on the fender tag?

Great...So what's the difference with Canadian heater boxes and why would they need a separate part number?

Where's that "can of worms" smiley when you need it...

you are probably correct. i made the mistake of looking at the canadian numbers and got excited and forgot to look back at the body style.

Not too familer with all the #'s

2 6 dig ones on the tag

The decoder calls them

#1- Seq- 140065
#2- Order- 066736 ( this one is after the A10)

Does that help...?

066736 is your SO. I thought maybe it may have started with a letter. But the heater box is what it is....The number is original - just isn't showing up anywhere so far.

Why would mine show 2936681.... ?

70 B-body Non-AC boxes had both the 2936681 and 2936680 inked part numbers. I had stamps made for both. The difference being an early/late year thing or St. Louis car or Lynch Road car thing. If everyone would chime in we could likely figure it out.

Find a can of the correct color in spray can. Spray it on a flat metal surface that you can dip the stamp into. The trick is to get just the right amount to pick up on the stamp surface. Too much and your stamp will look smudgy, too dry and you'll not get a nice transfer. Practice some before doing your box because you only have one shot at it.
