What is the correct factory finish on the nuts/bolts used to attach the motor to the K member through the engine mounts?

Thought it was black phosphate, but have seem some that appear to be zinc.

If it makes a difference talking about BB 1969.

Thanks

FWIW, The bolts that go through the motor mounts and K-frame that came out of my Oct. 1969 build 1970 318 Challenger had a sliver finish and were not black phosphate.

The Long "38" bolts are silver cad. The nuts can vary from silver cad or zinc phosohate. The washers are usually silver cad or silver zinc.
Not much on a Mopar is black phos.

Here is the original hardware on a 69 440. The silver cad has worn off of the treads on the short bolts but is still clearly evident on the head. Every car that Chrysler made had motor mount hardware (100's of thousands of bolts) so you can expect some vendor variance here and there.....I am just reporting what I have seen for years and what is on my original stuff.

Actually, I thought someone put together a good list of finishes that was posted a while back. If a link isn't posted shortly I will ask in a separate post.

I also need this info for my 70 Charger...I assume 69-70 will be the same.

Thanks for your pic, dumb question is that the correct way to orient the multiple bolts that attach to the motor block? I've seen them different ways not sure if that was mother mopar or not?

The FSM (factory service manual) and the engineering show the proper way to install the bolts, nuts and washers......hopefully I did it right in that photo.....

IIRC there is only 1 washer per bolt/nut combo and I would say it goes alongside each nut.
