Friends,

Wanted to check in and see if a 15x10" rim with a back space of 3.5 will fit in the stock wheel rear wells of a E Body (73 Cuda). I have come accross a killer deal on some old school polished alum slots and wanted to check here before pulling the trigger on them.

Have a D60 that has not been cut to size yet, looking at going with a b-body legenth or shorter if needed, if that helps? Looking at some SS type springs for the rear susp.

If the answer is no with a stock set up what can be done to make them fit eg. cut dana shorter and move springs in further? I do not want to tub or mini tub this car. Want the wheel to resied under inside the stock wells and within the rear qtr opening and not to extend outside the qtr lip. Thanks guys for any input you have.

Don

They won't fit the stock rear end etc. Here's a small bit of related info. You can find lots more using the search function.

We have 10 inch rims on ours, back spacing is 6.5 inch. We have the 1 inch inboard spring kit and stock width Dana. Tyre is very close to the fender lip (29.5 x 10.5 slick) we had to re-arch the springs to get them to fit, which brought upon another set of problems.
I'd guess, since our car is a Challenger, that dependant on tyre they'll have too much outset and won't fit but I don't know for sure

Thanks.

Will there be any modification of the wheel wells needed or just a spring relocation and shorter legenth Dana? I have a buddy who fit 15x10 with 5in bs in a Challenger with a 54-5/8" Dana and a spring relo. So would it just be a matter of measureing the difference in the offset and cutting the housing to spec? Thanks.

don I know your budget is tight any prolly have a great deal on wheels but its best to just them go! good deals come around so just be patient!
15*10 setups with 5" backspace will give you alot of options for different wheels especially when good deals come around

Me to...but try the "google custom search" box at the top of the page...it's easier to use.

i fit a 315/60-15 drag radial in a stock wheelwell but its VERY tight. i made all my own offset hangers to bolt in the factory locations (stock suspension BS) wheels are 15x10 with 4 inch backspace with a 5/16 spacer. could probably use a 3.5 but may be a little close to the inner. housing is 57 1/8 axle flange to axle flange
