Hi all

First off Merry Christmas

now my question. Would 295 55 15 M/T drag radials fit on a 15x8 Crager rim, under my 1970 coronet? The leaf springs are in standard location.
Thanks
Mike

If the wheels are the correct offset no problem. A 8" wheel is kind of narrow for a 295, I would think it would like a 10"

I am thinking no , but am not the final word on these things.
This is the size I have under my '65 dart with mini tubs and springs under the rails.
15 X 10 with 6.5 back space.............there is about 1/2 " to the spring and 1" to the wheel well lip.
Unless the B body wheel wells are significantly larger and you figure the right offset , I'd say no chance.

Oooops , forgot to add 2 1/2 " off each side on the housing too.

70 Coronet wheel wells are the largest of any Mopar that I know of. I've seen 295-50x15 on E-Bodys. Personally I think you'll find them looking a little short. I've seen 315 60 15 on 70 Coronet, looks great. My buddys 70 R/T covertile has 275 60 15 on 8" Magnum 500s. They aren't even close to hitting.

A 295 50 15 fits fine with my set up. Gosh a 315-60-15 sounds awfully large! Anyway looks like my set up should be fine!

Thanks all

Mike

Nice !
What offset ?
I love those cars with bigg'uns and skinnies on them.
They never gave me the illusion of turning with any kind of vigor............they just look like a drag car.

I have a 69 RR, stock tubs, stock spring location, SS springs. I am running the 295/65 M/T on a 15x8 wheel with 4.5" backspace. Fits perfect, no rubbing.
