. The stock factory front clutches was a tan or a brown color and the rear clutches were black or a very dark gray. Front band was also a tan or brown color. I build and have built trannies all my adult life. And the after market clutches of the high performance nature are; front clutches are either black, dark gray, red, or even blue. Rear clutches are once again a black or dark gray. Normally the front band is a red one, The rear band is always the black or dark gray color in both HP and stock. That's my
