Do you feel that you are qualified to give advice on topics in here??

So far i see a lot of qualified people posting in here......a perfect example is the people that have no idea what its like to race a 3500lb car tell me that a Dana or 8 3/4 is better than the 9" that i use. Meanwhile the 9" is the most popular rear for a reason..LMAO ! ! !

I am with you I knew this thread was another 83/4 vs 9"

Only on close to stock builds!

I build my own cars including engine, transmission and suspension so I know what works for me.

Most of the time I'm a lurker here on the race board as I feel others have much more experience and therefore better advice than I could ever hope to give!

Thanks to all who have contributed their time and expertise.
I love Moparts!!!

Now that car is really cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words.

Course i really love that engine. I'm a good friend of Hyper Henry's. when I was growing up about 6 years old 57? our town cop had a Henry J then he became Rural postman and him and his wife drove them till she died and he no longer had a licence but he would not part with the 4 or so sitting on his property till he died in the late eighties in his eighties. Never seen anyone else I remember with a henry J and so cool to know sears sold them as allstates!!

My name is DoubleD and I am a recovering Drag Race Addict - I have raced since 1980 with four different cars - I sold everything - then I met that enabler Max-Maniac! Since then I just spend his money to enable him - but I still have one car left in the Garage...................

Well, due to my own choices, my racing is limited. I don't race on Sundays (one of those personal choices) so I'm limited to one-day events. I was able to hit ONE summit series saturday race this year. Had the car out three times. New years day bracket race, MATS and the summit race in August.
Never won an event, best I've done is made it to the 4th round once. Started with a pro-street car that seriously underperformed first time out with mid-12's. Made changes over the past few years (with tons of knowledge learned here) and have it in the 9.9's now.
I only comment on stuff I've experienced (which isn't much).

Oh yeah, I've got a dana in my 3500lb car.

And one of these days, I'll finally put in the solid rod end bars and pitch the urethane end pro-street bars.
