Do you feel that you are qualified to give advice on topics in here??
So far i see a lot of qualified people posting in here......a perfect example is the people that have no idea what its like to race a 3500lb car tell me that a Dana or 8 3/4 is better than the 9" that i use. Meanwhile the 9" is the most popular rear for a reason..LMAO ! ! !
I am with you I knew this thread was another 83/4 vs 9"

Only on close to stock builds!
I build my own cars including engine, transmission and suspension so I know what works for me.
Most of the time I'm a lurker here on the race board as I feel others have much more experience and therefore better advice than I could ever hope to give!

Well, due to my own choices, my racing is limited. I don't race on Sundays (one of those personal choices) so I'm limited to one-day events. I was able to hit ONE summit series saturday race this year. Had the car out three times. New years day bracket race, MATS and the summit race in August. Never won an event, best I've done is made it to the 4th round once. Started with a pro-street car that seriously underperformed first time out with mid-12's. Made changes over the past few years (with tons of knowledge learned here) and have it in the 9.9's now. I only comment on stuff I've experienced (which isn't much). Oh yeah, I've got a dana in my 3500lb car. And one of these days, I'll finally put in the solid rod end bars and pitch the urethane end pro-street bars.
