Jump 12V to the end of the 4 terminal ballast that has the blue loop. This'll feed the coil thru the ballast and feed both pins of the 5 pin ECU. Then jump the starter relay as said and at the same time can jump 12V directly to the coil primary positive terminal while it is cranking to help it start.

If you do this, there will be no resistor for the coil, I don't know if it would even work. The SIMPLE way would be to look at the alternator, should be a green and blue wire. Pull off the blue wire, and feed 12V from the battery TO THAT WIRE. The alternator won't charge, but you will have the coil ballast resistor all in circuit that way.
I assume you know how to jump across the starter relay.
Just for future reference the coil gets 12v didrectly from the key switch in start. It doesn't go through the resistor until you go to the run circuit.

Lemme get this straight-you put the lime in the coconut an...opps OK so -jump 12 volt from battery to blue terminal on ballast -short the relay accross -and 12 volt from the battery to the pos. side of the coil(is this last step just while cranking and to be removed at startup? or left on after startup also?) Thanks guys
