I purchased a dash mounted reverse light for my 74 Barracuda. No rubber grommet came on the wire. have not drilled the hole in the firewall yet. Is this grommet available anywhere? Would someone have a original they could post a picture of? Thanks John.

The wire is supposed to have a grommet. And it goes on reverse of how you'd think it would (long end points into the engine bay).

i think it should be simply spliced inside the cab, maybe at bulkhead itself where the tranny harnees get into the cab. White or white traced wire, I can't recall wich one, but simply just the one what is energized when gearing R

Hoping someone could post a picture of a 73-74 Barracuda / Challenger 4 speed car firewall picture in the area of the bulkhead connector...John.

70 only grommet is on the left.
71 and up used the larger grommet on the right.
Hole should be 1 inch for a snug fit

I shouldn't have been so quick to state 71 and up. I do know that my 71 340 Cuda June built has the large grommet and my 70 Cuda has the smaller one. Both have original grommet/wiring.
Earlier 71's may have used the smaller grommet as well until a certain cutoff date. The location where the wire and grommet are on the firewall are different locations since the 70 firewall has some differences from the 71 and later firewall.
I'll try and get a picture of the other side of the grommet
