2005, Hemi, loaded. 60,000 miles, and the tach stopped for no reason. Stealership said $900 to replace the cluster. Anything make sense here?

Reseat or reset? How big of a deal is this car to pull the cluster?

Reseat and I have no idea. I just have heard that a lot of the gauge troubles with the electronic dash is because the cluster has lost conection. You should be able to find out how to pull the cluster with an online search for instructions.

After an hour of google search, this is a major problem... But at least Dodge isn't standing behind their product as usual!!!

Sounds like high resistance, bad connections..
Find the connector from the computer to the dash, detach and kleen..

Doesn't take much a little moisture/oxidation will corrupt the connections..

Just my $0.02...

My dealer buddy finally called me back. He said that the gauge goes bad, and this is a real rash of a bad part. Said they can be fixed for a few hundred bucks, or throw a junkyard one in and let it die too... Thats too bad...
