I am going to fire up a fresh 440 tomorrow. I want to prime the oil pump, but which way does the drill go to turn the rod? is it reverse?

I agree make sure the OP gauge is hooked up.That or a plug in it if its on a stand.I didnt when I did my 440.Couldnt believe it got oil pressyre so fast.Make sure you have a good drill also.I used a 1/2 inch one and it dragged it down .Rocky

X2. I have seen drills start to smoke while priming an engine.
And break your wrist if not ready and holding on....lol
