Just wanted to make sure you guys have seen this. A guy here bought several pair of 32x14 and loves them. They say they are really good tires, just trying to get their name out there. They dont make a rear in my size so I bought two fronts. Got 2 27x4.5 fronts for $148. Best part is its unlimited to how many you buy! Great deal.

I've been running their 14.5x32's on my Scamp for over a year and I really like them. I'm buying another set now even those these are not worn out yet.

FWIW we ran Hoosiers, M/T's for years. Had to buy Toyo's when we had difficulty buying the usual brands. Was a bit sceptical but I think they are a really good tyre, work well on our car and I'll use them again

What size Toyo did you go with?

30 x 10.5 W. Very similar in size to the 29.5 x 10.5 M/T 3062. "Tread" is a little wider and the tyre surprisingly took a little more pressure than we usually run. It was around 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 lb more if IIRC. Ran with tubes, still think it could take more pressure maybe upto 14lb.

Toyo says the tires are designed to be ran without tubes.

I did think that they are of a stiffer sidewall construction than Hoosiers or M/T and considered leaving the tubes out. At the track, we still had to run more pressure than I expected, even with the tubes. The more pressure we put in, the better they got. They worked well on our car and got us a new best 60ft last time out. True real world results with our car, HTH's

I'll try to get a pic up of my car launching, you can see the tire wad up very clearly. Mine worked best at 7.5 psi but I could probably run more at a better track, still the tire has yet to even turn a revolution on any launch at any track and I still have some adjusting to do on the four link.

I need that same size but I didnt see it listed on the Toyo website. Did they quit making it?

Were at 13.5ish psi from our usual 12, (I'd have to check the journal). I think we could go more, the Caltracs hit the tyre hard and the car is heavy.
Toyo UK are still listing it http://www.toyo.co.uk/productdetail.php?identity=products&product_id=55 , I can't find a US site for Toyo's. I'd be dissapointed if they stopped making it (or them) definitely has the edge IMHO
Tyre comparisons for reference

DaKuda, Toyo UK list these in addition to the list you have:

15W"
30.0x10.5 - 15W 11.2 29.7 93.3 13.3 29.3 10.0 8.0-10.0 14
33.0X10.5 - 15W * * * * * * * *
16W"
33.0X10.5 - 16W * * * * * * * *
16"
33.5X17.0 - 16 * * * * * * * *
34.0x17.0 - 16 17.0 34.4 108.0 20.4 45.2 16.0 15.0-16.0 6
Don't know why they aren't listed on the US site

Guitar Jones, We wadded the tyres pretty bad to begin with, just kept increasing the pressure, the car ran a better 60ft each time.
Looks like you could go more, seems like they take more pressure than the usual brands

these aren't DOT fronts are they? what about the 27.5 on a Duster? 27.8in. and maybe a hair more on a 3.5in. rim would need trimming I think.

What would you guys reccomend?
69 b-body 383 4-speed 4:10 gear
13.04 @110 with a street radial 285/70r15(spinning badly)(31" tall tire)
Now my current tire is a 275/60r15 they look a little small back there.(have not ran this size at track)28" tall
I have 8 in rims
should I run the 370070 (29.0x9.0x15)
or the 370280(30.0x09.0x15)
I will be buying one of these part numbers so keep it limited to these 2.
I'm not a die-hard racer, but would love to see my car run somewhere in the twelves.
I know that you should use the tallest tire you can get under there, but I felt that the 285/70r15 radials were too tall!
Thanks!
