used to happen on my ex's Ferd Escape also. They were very easy to pull out of the dash, and give it a thunk with your hand and it would spit out. You could see shiny wear spots on the ejection mechanism, shot it with some white grease and reduced the hang ups.

My 2005 Ram did the same thing several times. I would wait a few days and try again and the CD would eject. I finally got sick of it and replaced it with an aftermarket stereo. I have a Pioneer that accepts a USB memory stick. I don't even have have CDs in my truck now, I have 60 complete CDs on a 4MB stick.
