Right now I run 26"x4.5 M/T Frontrunners on my 72 stock suspension SB duster. I was thinking of going with either a 27" or 27.5" tire and a friend of mine said that he didnt think I could run that tall without working the fenders.

What are you guys running??

This may have been discussed before, but..........
I have 28" Hoosiers on my Dart Sport. I did have to bend the bottom corner lip of the wheel opening at the front and the tires may scuff a bit on bumps during turns.

Wheel offset and suspension height may be factors also.

Don't have any close-ups. But they fill the openings up nicely. I went to the taller tires based on reaction times.

I had 29" moroso's on my stock elim. Duster with a little trimming on the front. Really depends on how low you want the front end.

I just tried to do this myself. 71 duster with uncut front fenders. I run the 26 inch M/T and when i put the 27.5 on they hit the rear lower point of the fender lip. So, I put the 26's back on.

Mike I run 26's but I know I can go to a 27 no problem at all. 493_John gave me a good pointer... a lot of dusters are not consistent side to side. Take a second and check yours. Does the tire fall in the same spot in the wheel well opening on both sides. On my car, the passenger tire is way closer to the rear of the opening then the drivers side. I also notice, the lower the front end the easier it is to get the taller tire in there
