If I remember correctly, the '70's had two "larger" brackets which would support the valence top and bottom and the '71 had two shorter brackets?

I wish I could give credit where it's due but it wouldn't surprise me if it was Snoopy who sent me those pics. You could probably find the thread under my name if you searched for it. Has been a long time ago by now. BTW, what ever happened to Snoopy?

I dont have pictures but I believe the bottom edges on each side are cut ( stamped ) noticeably different on a 70 verses a 71 up valance. It would be interesting to see a pic of this difference. Any other differences?
