it doesnt shoot gas like it shoots coolant. the gass is more of a spray but it definitely has persistence. it almost sounds like a rod is knocking with the header not completely attached.
I think he means exhaust leak - not a gas leak.

gas is coming out the engine of the first hole. Is it safe to rtv seal in there?

Gasoline (liquid) or exhaust.

the screw before the header is stripped and needs to tapped. It shoot out water when filling the radiator and gas when turned on, this was not happening before. IS that normal?
Plan on taking it to a shop to get tapped anyone done it themselves?
How about a photograph?
Gas as in petrol or gas as in steam from the rad?

You can do the tap with a heli-coil. Or get the shop to do it. Getting it to the Shop?: Seriously goo the bolt and bolt it in as able. Let it dry overnight. Yerself: I recommend a helicoil and liquid teflon on the outside of the helicoil when you screw it in.

remove the header before tapping the hole to 7/16 or helicoil if you dont get it straight, and mess it up,the head will need to be replaced to helicoil it you need the correct size drill bit with the helicoil kit the kit has a tap and coils and the coil install tool remove header, drill to size, tap hole, install helicoil with some rtv on the outside of the coil, put header back on and then use the stock size bolt with rtv on it..LET THE RTV CURE OVER NIGHT!...add water to rad and run engine and check for leaks or like said, use a 7/16 tap and use a larger than stock bolt after drilling the header flange for the bigr bolt

Why are you guys talking 7/16? I suggest a 3/8. Jees the original is only a 5/16 so why would you recommend going to 7/16??
