PAINTERS PLEASE
got some dirt in my paint job. on tops of front fenders and front header panel.can i wet sand with 2000 paper,and then buff? what would be the right thing to do, to get the dirt out without messing up the paint. BACK YARD PAINTER THANKS

Yes. You may want to start with soemthing more like 1000 grit if the "dirt" requires, then graduate to 1500/2000+ then buff. Buff with a foam pad, not wool.
No problem. You may be so pleased with results you decide to cut & buff more than you thought!!!

I'd invest in a Steck dirt nibbler/file, most paint stores have them in stock, once they are cut down, use 1200 grit on firm block,followed by 1500, usually single stage paint responds very well even to 1200 grit scratches,no need to go past 1500.Just be careful not to sand or buff through
