I would pull and clean the hi-lo switch from the floor. Squirt WD40 into it and cycle the switch several times. Just a place to start.

I lost the headlights completely in my truck when the switch went out. Well, if I hit the floor switch just right, they'd work.

New switch and back to normal

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

you can clean them for free if you have some DW40, unless it is extremely crusty. very easy fix, spray up under the plunger (cap) and click the switch and spray several times until the fish-oil comes out clean.

on my 68 dart I had one of the wires almost broke off and would cause it to on off till the high didnt not come on

also had the head light switch burn up causeing the light to go off and on when it got hot

low and high would just go out on that one..

check the wires and plug and clean the switch with wd-40 like said

The headlight switch itself has a breaker in it and will shut off the high beams and allow the low beams to work, I would clean the floor switch first, if the problem is still there change out the headlight on/off switch in the dash....Phill

I wouldn't recommend WD40 for contact kleener..
Run down to Radio Shack and get some real contact kleener. To kleen the high/low switch, 1st pull/disconnect EZ 1 connector.

Spray the contact kleener into the switch, let it soak a little then work the switch in/out several times. The push action of the switch actually kleens it internal contacts, and if the switch is not often used its contacts get slight layer of oxidation..

Just my $0.00...
