I got one at Autozone, under $10 if I remember right.

How big a leak are you trying to find? (The fluorescent dye is carried out by the oil, so it has to be a pretty big one to leave UV-visible stains).

IIRC you can get a decent electronic leak detector for around $200, which will find far smaller leaks without dye, but if you're only going to use it once it might just pay to go to a shop and let them "sniff" your system.

I found this Matco one on Craigs list. Came with a bunch of extras.

I got one of the LED flashlight style from EBay for about $10 and it has multiple LEDs. Worked great for finding the a/c leak check dye.

I found a UV LED kit at a police supply store and converted my Maglight flashlight.

I found the 9 LED UV flashlight at ACE Hardware right by the register junk display for $4.99. said it was for checking money. I use it for A/C.

You can also get a black light bulb at Walmart for $1.86. I also picked up the clip on light fixture with a big aluminum reflector to use it in there.
