Having an oil leak out of right rear head with cometic gaskets anyone else have this issue?Are they known to leak oil?This is a small block by the way.

Yes mine always leaked. I ran a thin bead along the lifter valley and down the back of the block. I mean thin. Then I did the same on the head side of the gasket. IT was more of a smear then a bead, but it worked. I'd never use them again.

You can use them but if the surface isn't to the finish they require ... they will leak unless you use a sealant.

No leaks on my Big Block...but seap a little oil on the front corner of my small block..not enough to get worried about.
