Dropped off the oil pan and pickup yesterday to Mike Thompson for the 360/408 build and he received 90% of the new parts for the build Still waiting on the cam and this is one of those work on it while you slow deals, but it should go pretty quickly....in fact probably way sooner than I'll be ready to drop it in

Anyway here's the spec's, what do you think it will make....????? My guess is going to be 450hp & around 500# torque

360 LA 4.030 bore

KB Icon Forged Pistons / Flat Top @ Zero Deck

11 to 11.5 Compression (yes it will need a li'l race gas

J-Heads - 2.02 / 1.60 Massaged Nicely (we did go back and do a bowl cut to the previous existing work - came out nice)

Cam 240/246 507/510 106/110 Hyd/Flat

PRW 1.5 Aluminum Rockers

4" Scat Cast Crank

6.123 Scat I-Beam Rods

Weiand Tunnel Ram w/2 Edelbrock 600's

1 5/8" - 1 3/4" to 3" collectors through 3" full exhaust.

I hope so Dave Hey, gotta question for you....are your carbs/scoop off centered coming through the hood....I just noticed yesterday laying out the hole for the hood that the carbs / engine center-line is off towards the passenger side by 2"....??????

The manual trans is going to be the tricky part but my stock stroke/heads on my 360 went a best of 11.88 @ 114 mph at l.a.c.r. on 26x8.5 hoosier qtp`s and I didn`t have a clue as to what I was doing. You sir, should be easy mid 11`s IF it hooks and you can shift. This was w/350+ hp and torque at the tires IIRC.

Mike the stickers are yours I already have a bunch of Lunati, next time we get together I'll make sure I bring my file box full of decals, you can have whatever you need

The block was at std bore, so it's gonna work out just fine

Have a nice Hurst Ramrod setup being delivered today and tranny will be getting some tricks from Liberty.....it's been a while, but I used to race a stick car back in the day (waaaaay back) and did okay

Still need to make a decision on the clutch setup, somewhere reasonable between street and strip that won't break the bank

Thanks, that doesn't look bad at all....looks great Actually the hole looks very similar to what I have laid out....mine is approximately 10" wide x 16" long with the corners radius-ed the same way....it fits right in between the hood stiffeners and I was pleased about that....going to cut the underside a smidgen larger so it doesn't show as bad from the top.

Thanks for the photos,

Rickster

I have a ton of room on the pass side now, but I made a 1" clearance around the carbs when I laid it out...

I used a 5" hole saw to to the corners first then did the straight cuts connecting them
