Hello all was just wondering if something like this exists?I am going to get a passon overdrive kit for my super bee.I can probably fabricate something up but would be easier if I had something to start with.Anybody out there in moparland ever attemted this or better yet have a working setup in your car?I would just like to try while I have the car apart to see if it is any better than the factory setup. Thanks guys

You could contact Keisler to inquire/purchase their Keisler/Wilwood modified master and FTE hyd. throw out bearing, best to know what installed "stack" height of the TOB you may require?......easy mod to perform, basic fabrication

a couple threads from another site:

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=33640

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=40229

this is the package i'm going to use:

http://www.chucksclassiccars.com/index.php?item=HYDC833

it was recommended by an aussie that has it installed on his oz charger. i like it because of the slave cyl. mounting plate that can pivot during use so theres no binding.
i haven't heard anything good about hydraulic actuated throw out bearings because of accessability when installed, you might want to research what would be best for your application i.e. street use or track.

Send goldduster318 a PM. He built his own system using wilwood parts from summit. He gave me the part #'s for all the stuff he used and I bought those same components from summit. I haven't installed it yet but it basically uses a hydraulic master cyl to actuate a slave cylinder which in turn operates your clutch fork. No $$ hydraulic throw out bearing in this setup.

It can be done with stock parts. Late 80s 2wd trucks with slant 6 engines and 4 speeds had hydraulic clutches, and they were A833 trannies. Replacement parts can be found through your local parts store as needed.

The one caveat that all hydraulic conversions seem to have in common is that your firewall has to be reinforced where the clutch master cyl. mounts else it will flex badly and maybe even eventually fail.

Yes definitely, I would not bolt it to a thin piece of firewall sheetmetal.

anything to distribute the load from the master cyl. flange. simple 1/8 steel plate welded around the area will do. inside or out. just remember to factor in that difference for the clutch/master pushrod.
haven't done this yet, i'm just weighing in on the research i've done and the knowledge i've gleened from boning up on the subject.
i'm still waiting on the rest of the parts needed
for my auto/4speed conversion.
imo, the kit from chucks is the way to go
