I got the Green Gremlin running this past weekend and took it for its maiden voyage to cruise night. I ended up having to fix a few more things thanks to all the little gremlins that come up, but all is fixed and I made another outing last night with it and 95% is good to go.
I wanted to fully test the new overkill fuel system with the carb before switching to the EZ efi I picked up from Fastmanefi Rich. I also wanted to see if I would have the coin to drop another $850 for the second throttle body before the Mopar Nats, which I don't have right now, so a single TB it will be for now unless some wants a really good running carb or other parts I have listed.
Changes: New fuel cell - custom built, sump, trap, 1/2npt fittings etc. New fuel pump - A1000 in tank New fuel lines - AN10 supply & AN08 return (all AN08 fittings drilled for no restrictions) New NHRA legal battery hold downs 3/8" New NHRA legal cut-off switch and 02 gauge wiring New fuel pump relay and harness New EFI/Carb changeable regulator - Aeromotive New fuel cell hidden bed cover - custom folding with stainless hinge. 3" straight thru exhaust with Holley Aerochambers (very loud)
Next Upgrade before the Nats: Remove QF carb and replace with EZ-efi
Before the end of the year: Fiberglass hood with 3" cowl Tunnel ram with 2 throttle bodies Upgrade to 8-3/4 from 8-1/4
I will post pics later...Work blocks them.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, the D100 is a very mild Pro-street small block 360 D100 step side, bench seat, column shift. It has 4.56 geared 8.25 posi and an A500 overdrive trans with low 1st gear. 484 cam, headers, air gap intake, and QF800cfm carb. I removed the power brakes and steering and changed the pulleys a little and added a new Mancini distributer a couple years ago. Ran 8.40's in the 1/8th so far.

Sounds good. I'll be looking for it at the Nats
You will hear it comming unless the efi tames the idle a little. I am trying to find someone that can bend 3" to put the exhaust out the side right in front of the rear wheels, but so far no luck.

Check NAPA, the Napa by me has mandrel bent tube on the shelf. It's a little pricey but, it's available when you need it.

Thanks.... I mounted the EZ-efi dash interface right in the dash tonight. I have to fab an RS232 cable yet. I am going to fab up new dash plates as well to make it all look real nice like the fuel cell, but not sure I will have a completely new dash installed before the Nats. The efi computer is now mounted under the dash, but I have to make spacers so I can plug the main cable in. Getting very close to being able install the efi. I want to go to test and tune with the carb and then with the efi if I have time. The carb is running awesome and all the plugs have a perfect tan to them. I still need a few parts and a bung for the O2 sensor, but we will see.
