440 with a 484/284 MP cam, no vacuum advance (but have slots welded up and run a lot of initial) street dominator intake and thermo quad. 727 and 3.23 rear. I got 16 on the highway and was pleasantly surprised!

70 Road Runner. 383 auto stock except for headers and a 750 vac Holley. 3.54's and a small tire. Straight highway with confirmed odometer. At about 70 mph was 15 MPG. The 440's that are over 20 MPG What's your set up?

70 GTX all original 440-4bbl, auto, 3.23 rear 14 mpg highway
70 RR 383-4bbl, 4 speed, mild cam, headers, MSD ignition, edlbrock 650 carb, 3.55 rear 16 mpg highway
