For a stock motor that is what I remember getting back in the day. It can be improved upon considerably by setting your didtributor up to the 66 or 67 specs. and getting a faster advance curve in it.

First off, thanks for saying MPG instead of MPG's. (My Idiosyncrasy). Second, I don't have a big block installed yet so I can't answer that question. But back in the day I had a 76 400 wagon that got 11 MPG not mater what.

70 Charger 440 6 pak, 450HP, Dana 60 4:10 gears....around town 10-12 MPG,...highway cruising/cross country long hauls @75-80 MPH, I can avg 20-22 MPG,....all done with a Keisler TKO 5spd .64 overdrive........but leadfooting it, or 140 MPH highway blasts can suck it down under 10 MPG easily

440 with a 484/284 MP cam, no vacuum advance (but have slots welded up and run a lot of initial) street dominator intake and thermo quad. 727 and 3.23 rear. I got 16 on the highway and was pleasantly surprised!

70 Road Runner. 383 auto stock except for headers and a 750 vac Holley. 3.54's and a small tire.

Straight highway with confirmed odometer. At about 70 mph was 15 MPG.

The 440's that are over 20 MPG What's your set up?
