I realize that this has probably been asked many times but will a Holley street avenger carb work with a 1969 air grabber system? I have done every search I can think of and can't find any posts on this. What is the height of the Holley compared to the stock avs? Will the Holley fuel bowls or any other parts interfere with the baseplate? Will I have to move the coil?
Thanks
First off you guys saying it worked on a 1970 have to realize that the 1970 intake is different than a 69, the choke well is lower that the carb mounting surface so it's easier to put a holley on it than the 69 intake.
What intake do you have ? A Holley will not fit on the stock 69 manifold without a 1/2" spacer , once you add a spacer you run the risk of hitting the hood with the air cleaner top. The baseplate should clear with no issues, the coil will be in the way of the standard dual feed line , there is a company that I saw in MCG that listed a bent up steel line to clear the coil and connect to the fuel pump.

I am going to have the same problem with my 69 superbee, but I am running a holley street dominater intake.Any way this place makes custom base plates for most combos(hybrid fiberglass solutions)

Thanks everyone for your input. I have the original intake on the car. You say I will need a 1/2" spacer for the holley, is this because parts of the throttle linkage hit the choke well? If so can the choke well be milled so that I will have clearence without using a spacer? I have a spare manifold I can hack on!
Yes , the linkage on that side of the carb will hit the intake and you can notch it if you want .
