Holley + Air grabber - 07/11/10 05:22 PM
I realize that this has probably been asked many times but will a Holley street avenger carb work with a 1969 air grabber system? I have done every search I can think of and can't find any posts on this. What is the height of the Holley compared to the stock avs? Will the Holley fuel bowls or any other parts interfere with the baseplate? Will I have to move the coil?
Thanks

I have a Holley 750 DP on my RoadRunner with an airgrabber with no problems, but it's a '71.

I had a 750 on my 70 RR with a 383 and it cleared the air grabber. My coil just had to be moved as far forward as I could on the bracket to clear it. Good Luck! Ronnie
I am going to have the same problem with my 69 superbee, but I am running a holley street dominater intake.Any way this place makes custom base plates for most combos(hybrid fiberglass solutions)

Thanks everyone for your input. I have the original intake on the car. You say I will need a 1/2" spacer for the holley, is this because parts of the throttle linkage hit the choke well? If so can the choke well be milled so that I will have clearence without using a spacer? I have a spare manifold I can hack on!
