Could any one tell me if there is a chart or something that could tell me what the diffrent widths are for mopar factory 8 3/4 rear housings are. I put a rear out of a C body in my 37 truck street rod. Know that I'm getting to tires, rims, and mounted fenders the C body rear is to wide. I have a rear housing that is about 3 and 1/2 inches shorter, but I have no axels and I don't know what the shorter rear came out of? I would rather find something stock and just move the spring perches instead of having something custom made.
Hope to hear from some one soon?
Thanks, Tony

Where ever you got that info, trash it, it's wrong!

Use the measurements in the tech forum with the axle lengths, that is correct. fy-chally posted the link.

These measurements I believe are axle flange to axle flange. I guess I should have been more specific. I just measured the B body rear I have on the floor and it was just shy of 60 inches from where the drum contacts the axle flange. I guess if you subtract the distance from the axle flange to the housing flange the other chart is correct as well.

IT'S WRONG!!!

PERIOD

62-70 B's ARE NOT the same width.

A's ARE NOT that length, no way, no how. Cut one that length and put stock axles in. You'll be MIGHTY unhappy with the results. They are 52 5/8" flange to flange, 57 1/8" wheel mount to mount. At least the perch width is correct in that listing for A's.

The linked listing that FY-Chall posted has the CORRECT lengths.
