So i took the Coronet to the 1/8 mile track this weekend and after my second pass i had fluid spit out all over the top of the tranny again. So I cleened the mess up and drained fluid out till it was just above the add mark, and yes it was Damn hot. Then i made another pass and everything was fine, no fluid spitting out of the vent, tranny worked fine. After a cool down when they preped the track I made another pass and it slipped bad going into 3rd. ((low fluid lever probably caused this)) I have already plugged the park feed hole. I have run out of ideas Im seriously thinking of tossing the 727 for a glide, am I at the limit of the 727?

Yes I am runnin a deep pan.
I was thinking about the catch can idea.
The tranny seemes to work fine when it spits fluid but it shure is a pain
The catch can will solve your problems but do it right. Trans fluid is real flammable. Use good line/fittings and keep it as far as possible from any major heat source.

I had fluid come out of mine 2 weeks ago 1st time . Now I'm ??? the locking dipstick ,I went to drain the fluid and it gurgled out till i pulled the locking dipstick .Some of us feel its needs to breath like the old stick fitted loose .So we drilled a small hole below lock .Haven't tried it yet . Yes i have sealing rings in the support, and i plugged the park feed hole.
Its not a roller support.
I have my vent in the tail housing next to the top left mount bolt area with a 90 and a 6" pice of steel tubing pointing forward towards front of car.
Is thare a possibility i had the tranny over full?
Yes,I would run it till it quits or put a overflow catch can with a vent and drain plug.

Where is your vent relocated to? What kind of vent do you have installed (plastic check type, etc) This pic shows where I put mine and it has never spit a drop. This location is well protected from fluid splash.
My new trans is blowing fluid out of the vent also. I have always put my vent in the case like in Jims pic and never had this problem. On this trans I put a Turbo Action roller rear support in it and for some reason put my vent in the top, front of my tail housing. I did plug my park hole and I did leave one ring out. When I put my rear shaft in it was hard to turn my shaft and I had a hard time getting my rear housing to go down. I think the bearing is in off center. I wish I had of thrown it in the trash. I have a hose that goes up with the dipstick with a plastic vent in it.

My vent is drilled in the same place, but I also drilled a small hole through the lower rib, just in case fluid gets up there it can drain out. I'm using the 1/8" NPT vent for a turbo400? that has a plastic tube pushed into the fitting. It comes close to the stock trans tunnel, but seems to work. I like the idea of a 90-degree fitting connected to a hard line back to the filler tube or catch can.
