I picked it up this morning, drove it hard most of the day. Ran it tonight. And had a blast. These cars are fun. Best pass was 8.82 in the 1/8th. Ran several runs and was playing with it trying to find what it liked. Cut a few reds and one .008 so it can cut a light I just need some more seat time lol not bad for a car with about 400 miles on it

Thanks guys. It's an auto that I just left in D and let it do it's own thing. I mostly just play'd with the traction control lastnight. Woody the breaks are Brembos on all 4 corners and they are wicked good. I had as much fun with this car as I do with the Valiant, even had some butterflys at the gate

The Firebird would 60' low 1.7's high 1.6's with the converter and Nitto drag radials. With the stock 3.23 gear.

Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

Dave we need to get together at some point. One of the guys I work with has been talking crap to the wife for several months...He has the typical winged, fart piped honduh.....She just said "Pick a day i`ll be there" Well last tuesday was it.....needless to say it wasn`t pretty To make matters worse she was going .040`s to his +.100`s On the way home she commented that it wasn`t that much fun as she wanted more competition I really wanted her to run the 6 speed SRT that was there as she had him covered by a easy tenth and change but we ran out of time. Forget a gear change for now..go for a converter and stickies (I am)....Mine has been 2.03 stone stock so sub 2.0`s are possible with minimal mods. I love my wife..at least she like this stuff Rick
