It is up to personal preference, since the pins were never available on 72-74's. On my 73, the screws that attach the lanyards to the car are screwed into the radiator core support, and I'm using 22" lanyards. The length is perfect.

Your lanyard length is going to depend on where you attach the lanyard mounting screws. If you move the attachment points further forward, up near the the rubber hood bump stops, you will probably want 18" lanyards...

I may have mis-read your question. Do you mean the pins, the clips, or the lanyards?

I didn't realize that there are different lengths on the posts. I'll look at the ones on my 73 tonight and let you know. I've bought two of the repro Mopar sets ovet the years and they both had the same stud length.

Kevin, I measured mine, they are 4". The Mopar hood pin kit I bought shows instructions to use them on B & E bodies, so i'm guessing that the 4" was a universal length...
