I know it has been asked a million times and believe me, I did check the archives and search. I just can't find it. I have a 383/727 with a 2.76 rear. I have the Bouchillon cable and their carb bracket. My car shifts: 1-2 @ 25mph 2-3 @ 40+mph Which way do I move the bracket that holds the throttle pressure cable? Towards or away from the carb?

OP has a Bouchillon cable, not stock linkage.
The further back the trans lever is at any throttle setting the later it will shift, you want to adjust the cable so the trans lever is further forward.
