What is the biggest slick{height and width} which will fit in a stock wheel well on a '65 Coronet?
How about stock spring location and with springs moved in? Pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I have a 29x10.5" in a '65 Post, stock spring location. They do rub a little.

Try Dr. Diff inboard kit which moves the springs in by about a 1/2 inch in on both sides. All you have to do is weld the spring perches in by a 1/2"
Every thing else is a bolt on.
It worked great on my stock well 65'sedan.
I run the Hoosier QTP 11.5 x 28 inch tire on a 8" rim with 5-1/2 inc h back space, no rubby ducky.

You can put a pretty big tire back there once you move the inner wheel well over so it lines up with the frame. Until you do that you'll fight for clearance.

here is a pic of my old 65 Plymouth. with the springs moved in 3 inches per side and the wheel wells Minni tubed. The wheels wear weld pro stars 15x10 with 6.5 inches of BS and M/T 31x10.5X15W slicks. I did have to trim the front of the lower wheel well so the slicks would not rub and it only took a little bit to get them to clear. here are some pics of it. Mopar65

also with every thing stock and the inner fender lip rolled in i could run a M/T 30x9 slick with a 15x7 steel wheel. it has been so long that i for got the BS on the wheels tough. Mopar65

Not a slick, but with the springs moved in 3" I can fit the MT ET street radial P275/60R15 on weld 10" rims with 5.5" of backspace. Nothing done to the wheel well or the lip.

i'm gonna say a 28" tall 9" slick on 15x8 wheels with a 4 1/2" backspace for a totally stock wheel well is safe. i've used 275-60x15's on a 15x8 4 1/2 backspace on the stock wheel wells and spring location and its probably the most i'd safely use.

The pic of my 65 had 275/60-15s on a 10" rim. It was tight! I went to a Hoosier QTP 29x10.5-15 and had to mount on a 8" rim (which was the minimum recommended in their catalog) and it fit great with room to stick your hand in between tire and qtr. I think it was 4.5 backspace. It looks great now, really fills the well. Sorry no pics yet of new set up. Springs in stock location and only the lip of quarter had been rolled a lil.
