I'm just about to fire the Cuda for the first time, and it was pointed out to me that my motor is not level. It's tipped down on the drivers side about 1/2 an inch. It is not helping the clearance of the t-bar and ex manifold either, and I'm wondering how bad it will make the shaker fit. Can I shim it somehow, or do I not have it quite in the right place on the K-member? doesn't seem that there would be any adjustment? Gotta have it done by june 5th- for Mopars at the Park.

Have you tried loosening up the mounts and jacking the motor up and reseting it?

yeah what he said. My 440 it sitting cockeyed in the car now. I'm going to jack it up loosen the MM bolts and get it in place then re-tighten them. I also have a solid on the drivers side so that could be the problem

Ok then loosen the rubber mount to K frame bolts , jack up under the oil pan and see if you can get it relocated .

Reason I ask is because according to Megaparts there are body specific engine brackets, and I wasn't sure if you were using conversion mounts of some sort .

I had a vibration problem after removing my trans for a flex plate issue a couple years back. I ran this motor/trans for about 6yrs and installed it as one piece. After reinstalling the trans, separate from the motor, I noticed a vibration only at certain RPMS. I did the following....this procedure is in a factory troubleshooting guide someone on Moparts sent me when I was trouble shooting.....

After breaking in your engine........

1. Loosen motor mount bolts
2. Loosen Trans mount bolts
3. Fire off motor
4. Power brake motor a few times....more if required
5. Take measurements.

If the thing is straight and level, retorque all mount bolts, back car into street and put the heel to the steel!
