I have a World products 4.500 bore siamese wedge engine and I am trying to bolt up the starter BUT there is a clearance issue with the B positive terminal up against the block. I have one of those mini starters and I was wondering if there was a relocation kit OR another starter that would bolt up that was different??? PLEASE HELP....Thanks,, Gary Oles nosboy

Sorry not try to be a smart A## but did you remove the plastic extendsion off the terminals. I have also seen some guys grind the post down a little or RobbMc "clockable" starter might be another route to go.

We use a Ford style solenoid mounted in a remote location, such as on our running test engine/stand, that allows enough clearance away from the casting (it should work on your block too) - Koleno Performance

Is this the aluminum or the cast iron World block?

So, do you remove the starter mounted solenoid? What needs to be done, any pics?

I'll post some pics later today of how my mini was modified to work.

Two weeks ago I bought a Powermaster Ultra Torque High Speed # 9463. I had to grind and cut the s**t out of the block and starter but once it's done the battery stud problem is totally eliminated. The solenoid mounts on the outboard side of the starter, is clockable and has the terminals in the back instead of on the side. I'll post some pics of that also.

There was a similar post on here about 2 months ago. I gave the guy the bracket off of a dakota starter. They have a brass strap that is bent out and down from the solonoid and puts the starter power stud pointing to the front of the car. then ya cut off the stud at the top, and you should clear. Ill check to see if I aquired any more parts since the last time I gave them away. I have 3 more cores since I gave him that part.

Kasey, that was me you gave the strap to and it helped a lot. I have it on my mini starter right now and I'm gonna get some pics posted by this afternoon.

I bought the Powermaster starter and the mini is just going to be a spare now.

It's a cast iron block.. I called around and WORLD said to use a MSD APS starter with an adaptor for wedge/hemi. I got a denso starter with an offset bracket relocating the B+ and solenoid terminals and I will try it this afternoon... Thanks for all the info and the pix... Gary Oles nosboy

I talked to World Castings tech line and they told me MSD # 5098 and it DON'T look like it's clockable.. I think the .100 MIDPLATE puts my starter .100 closer to the rear of the engine because it DOES space out the trans .100 ... maybe I need a clockable 9523 from powermaster?????
