Your headers must have been real close before the swap. Time to adjust the headers with a hammer or get new headers. It would also be worth checking motor mounts. Are they up to snuff or is the motor "slumping". Replacing or shimming up the mounts may be an option.

Mine did the same thing when I put in larger bars.

My header / T bar rubbing was on the drivers side til I dropped it in reverse and did a short burnout in reverse.

No more rubbin.

I never had a problem with clearance on mine. Restored it, put the same parts back in, and suddenly had 1/4" interference between the header and the torsion bar. I tried every single possible way to clearance the header prior to installing the torsion bar, I couldn't make up the 1/4". Finally, put a very heavy, 4' long bar in the end of the header and went nuts on it. Surprisingly, I was able to angle the header just enough to give me the 1/4" plus about 1/8" more with no ill effects.

I have the same 1" MP torsion bars in my 70 Charger . The Hooker headers # 5903 hit the drivers side T bar. I took a chunk of sidewall from a tire and jammed it between them. Its redneck, but it worked.
I later switched to Hooker #5209 headers and it was just as bad. I now have TTI pipes. ZERO problems. They cost a weeks pay, but were worth it.

Can you just shim up the motor mount on the side that rattles? Worked on my '66 Charger.
