I just got a MP bathtub gasket (stamped Fel-Pro btw ). It comes with 2 plates to block the heat crossover. How do you attach them? RTV? Also, coating both sides with gasgacinch, good idea? Thanks

I would not use the plates to block the crossover. Summit sells a gasket that has it blocked already.

If you use your car in the colder months a lot it warms up faster. If not it can boil the gas at the carb in certain setups.
There is also the HP factor. A colder air/fuel charge is denser--makes more power. The colder intake/carb will make more power.

I've been known to cram a bunch of foil in the crossover.
I think a BESTer idea is to just FILL the crossover in the intake with some junk aluminum piston that you melted down.
And I read about that HERE ...on moparts !
