You're using a "normal" 727, aren't you? I'm not sure how that operation was handled on the 500/518 boxes, and I don't remember what the 518 I just got looks like. IIRC, the kickdown was on the opposite end of the TB from the throttle/cruise cables, using the same bracket. You might be able to whip up a tidy little bracket to mount on the trans and use the Maggie cable to pull on the 727 lever. link to image: http://www.v8performance.com/images/image002.jpgClair

518/500's throttle pressure lever is the same as an older 904/727 IIRC, so I'd think you could use a magnum cable on it.

Just grap every thin from the 518 or 500 trans. All the linkages and brackets ect are all the same in the way they bolt on. They bolt right on to a 727 0r 904. I did this with my old 72 scamp. It worked real nice.

I used the Bouchillon kickdown cable kit (which I think is just late 90s Ram Van cable). Scratch made the brackets from some sheet aluminum. Found an old pic from PHR. http://www.popularhotrodding.com/features/0309phr_1970_plymouth_mopar_barracuda/photo_02.html
