Hello, can anyone tell me what the dark blue wire on the plug coming down from the steering column is for? (70 challenger) I believe it is the third wire after the yellow and black wire. Mine just fried after the plug (dash side of plug) and I'm trying to figure out the cause. Thanks in advance OK I found out it is listed as ignition 1 in the SM. Where does this wire go?

Ignition 1 - Start - Brown - 14 ga
Ignition 2 - Run - Dark Blue Wire - 18 ga

Ignition switch to:
Brake Warning Light
Key-In Buzzer
Terminal 23 on Firewall Connector
Engine Bay:
Alternator
Idle Solenoid
Regulator
Ballast Resistor

Car will probably start, but won't run.

Thanks, the car starts and runs fine but the smoke rolling out from under the dash is a problem. All the insulation was burned off the dbl wire.

Check the engine bay wiring and the firewall connector.
