How much room do you need between the front of the rear tire and the 1/4 and the back of the rear tire and the 1/4?? Im NOT talking about the top of the wheel well just the front and back.

THANKS!!!

I have one tight spot in the front, 3/4 inch. My guess is if you have 3/4 plus, you will be OK. Better if you have 1 inch.
What type tires you running? Rims?

At 1/2 inch in the front i think you will have issues. i would move them back so they are centered in the wheel well.

Assuming that the relative difference in diameter is accurate(and it might not be), that would leave 1" at the front and 1 1/8" at the back. No problem unless your rim width is way to narrow. Also keep in mind that the spring change "might" relocate the rearend slightly.

If your worried about it then just bend the flanges slightly so that if the tire hits it won't hit a sharp edge.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I wish I had bought 10" rims instead of 8" rims.

Are the QTP bias or radial tires? Either way the 29 inch tire should be 1/2 taller on the top and bottom, front and rear of them so you should have more than enough room for the taller 29 inch tires, Unless the car runs 140+MPH now and thier bias ply tires

I have 15x8 rims with 4.5bs and 28x11.5 QTP's. I also have stock leafs in the stock location. My tires DID rub a little on the springs so I put on 1" wheel spacers and that took care of the problem.
I do feel if I had gone with a 10" rim,the tires would not have bulged out and hit the leafs.

Im not sure if the back space would make a difference.Maybe someone can chime in with some info.

I think front to back you will be fine. Once you reach 3/4" things get tighter. Rim width to tire width, mph, tire construction, etc.

I know cost is high, but the time to switch to a 10" wide rim with the appropriate back spacing is when changing tires. After you run the new rims/tires and have no problems, you can sell the old rims to offset some of the cost. I see those tires are really 10" wide tread.
