I've used the 30 wt in the past with good results and will probably use it in my new 440.

You might try www.bobistheoilguy.com to find the amount of zinc.

The CJ4 has about 1150 to 1250 (iirc) ppm zink according to oil analysis posted on Bob Is The Oil Guy's web site.

It doesn't have as much zinc as it used to, but still a very good oil. I use it to break in my fresh engines, but change it to a heavier race oil afterwards. (like VR-1 or Pennsoil). I also run it in my diesel truck.

I've used it in a moderatly aggressive flat tappet along with STP for insurance. All is well at 5,000 miles. I run 15W40. 10W30 is available also at Walmart. As posted above, I understand zinc is lower than it used to be but still pretty high.

what i have heard is that the rotella T diesel oil foams at high rpm's, the reason its good for diesel motors is that they dont rev high enough for foaming to occur.
i know the zinc content is down but still pretty good otherwise.
