Hey just wondering about this. I was considering doing a shaker conversion later on but could not see any way for water to drain from around the air intake housing. I know there is a gasket there, but does that fill up with water?

The originals have 2 drain tubes on front of shaker base.

Connect some short 5/8" heater hose to each drain nipple to drain the water down & off the motor.

Most I've measured were about 12.00" long, routing of the drain hoses down through the various engine componants varied but usually routed straight down in front of the heads (on Hemis anyway). Here is an original bubble & hoses that shows what they look like. FWIW this is a VERY original "survivor" quality 1971 setup that has never been restored, all original paint, etc. it's shown here on a 1970 Cuda.
