I have a 62 fury b body, 440, 727 on the shield there is a raised rib towards the back. I had to dimple in the tunnel with a ball peen hammer. it fits ok. your tunnel may be larger.

You may (read, most likely) have to "adjust" your transmission tunnel, but it should fit.

i advise putting the motor and tranny together then installing them as a unit..
the allen head bolts are next to impossible to reach. insert a socket into them when in the car.
youll have to cut off a boss section of the bell housing to get it on..
i had to flatten the factory pinch seam for it to clear the tunnel as well.
